Hi there, my name is Alyson Shane and I’m CoFounder & CEO of HeyAlfa.
I’m a writer, and I started my first business, a digital marketing agency called Starling Social, in 2014. Even though I love writing, I’ve always hated the tediousness of scheduling content on social media. It was the first thing I hired out, and the last thing I wanted to spend my time doing.
In 2017 I joined the Social Committee for TEDxWinnipeg, where I nearly lost my mind trying to manage the day-to-day event promotions via social media while also coordinating and managing the many moving components associated with promoting an event successfully.
I kept searching for apps that could meet my needs but kept coming up short. There wasn’t anything in the event promotion space that automated my event promotion and still sounded authentic and not robot-like… so naturally I decided to make one myself.
All of HeyAlfa’s social media content is tailored to your event using a combination of tags and intelligent automation. This means you can stop worrying about sounding like a robot on social media, and can focus on the more important details of promoting your event to the world.
My motto has always been “work smarter, not harder” and HeyAlfa helps you do just that.
Everyone working at HeyAlfa are loyal to each other, and to our customers. We know that relationships are built on trust, respect, and kindness, and strive to create positive and supportive opportunities for everyone.
Our goal is to create a tool that saves time and makes event promotion a breeze. We know how important your event is to you and your attendees, and we work hard to make sure that we’re always meeting your needs and helping you grow.
Like any good dog, we don’t take ourselves too seriously. We’re committed to a fun working environment where we welcome new ideas and approaches to problem-solving, because we know the best ideas tend to happen over beers, not in the boardroom.
